HONDURAS
In the cities of Honduras, unemployment rates can reach as high as 70% and most people live on 50 cents per day. The villagers survive by depending on the crops they raise, and their living is still below poverty. Most Hondurans have no education past the sixth grade and no job skills. Their fate is sealed, a life of poverty just like the generations before them. Charity Heart loves the Honduran people and we are working there to provide hope for many families, by providing a method where we can help people who have no credit history, no collateral, no income, and often zero to little education. Hope is what this country needs, and Charity Heart intends to do all it can to bring it into existence in their daily lives. We will provide biblical education, as it is welcomed, with a goal to disciple each applicant to break out of generational poverty. Through discipleship, friendship and hope we are making a difference in Honduras one life at a time!

FAMILY ASSISTANCE
humanitarian aid
HUMANITARIAN AID
The worse year we’ve seen yet in Honduras was the year 2020. Not only did COVID rapidly spread throughout the Hondurans but in November they were hit with two category four hurricanes. Hurricane Eta and Hurricane Iota ripped through Honduras bringing deadly landslides, flash flooding and destruction all around Honduras. These hurricanes killed many people and left them without homes.
Susan Jesenia Aguilar was eight months pregnant at the time Hurricane Eta came through. The twenty-three-year-old, her partner and their baby had to flee their home due to the flooding caused by Hurricane Eta. The family lived in a makeshift tent on the pavement by the side of a highway in San Pedro for more than two weeks. Because of the malnourishment and living conditions, Susan and her baby developed a cold with a cough, temperature, and headaches.
It was people like Susan that Charity Heart immediately turned to help with medications, vitamins, clothing, shoes, food, and clean water. We started a Honduras Rescue Fundraiser in Houston Texas and with the help of our partners, friends and family we were able to send an abundance of help.

Hope in honduras
HOPE IN HONDURAS
Although Charity Heart has assisted during very hard times for Hondurans, we have also helped bring hope and light into homes after a hard year in 2020. In March 2021, Charity Heart sponsored a Jesus is Alive celebration mainly for kids, hosted by Pastor Antonio and his wife Emma Urquia in their own backyard. We sent lots of toys, backpacks, school supplies, clothing, and shoes. There was plenty of food, cake, and party bags for the celebration. In return we had many families filled with joy and new hope, priceless.
Charity Heart was also honored to be a part of a Revival in San Pedro, Honduras. We were able to help with the funds to rent an auditorium for the Revival as well as provide for shirts, food, and bibles. In return 45 people received Jesus into their lives that day.
Helping aluminum roof, dirt floor churches to preach the Gospel has been our greatest delight as an organization. We have helped small mountain town churches in Honduras like Monte Sinai Tabernaculo. We had the pleasure to provide numerous bibles for existing and future members. We also provided kitchen utensils, cookware, curtains, and food for their gatherings.

Breaking generational chains
Breaking generational chains
Meet Manuel Antonio Ramos Perez! He is a gentleman who has reached out to Charity Heart for Education assistance. We met him through Pastor Carlos Moredia in Houston. Pastor Moredia wanted to help Manuel and his family break out of generational poverty and connected him with Charity Heart. Manuel is now a 3rd year returning student for Nursing in Tequcigalpa, Honduras. He has obtained all the credentials needed to keep his assistance through Charity Heart and is close to completing his Nursing education. Manuel is the first generation in his family to complete high school and continue his education in a high demand field. When interviewing Manuel, he stated the education assistance for his Nursing degree was the beginning of a new life for him and his family. He is fully aware of the chains that are breaking off from himself and many generations to come. It’s striving individuals like Manuel that Charity Heart longs to help and walk side by side until the fruit of their hard work comes to pass.
